For the fourth year, FundsPeople organised the event "The Future of Depositary Services" with the main Spanish depositary entities: BBVA, Caceis, Cecabank, Inversis and Securities Services BNP Paribas. The aim was to address the challenges and opportunities facing this sector, as well as to analyse the evolution and future of the service offered to asset managers.
José María Marcos, CNMV's General Manager for Institutions, opened the conference, which took place in the El Beatriz auditorium. This was followed by two round tables. One of them chaired by Elisa Ricón, General Manager of Inverco, attended by representatives of Spanish fund managers. The other was moderated by Francisco Béjar, General Manager of Iberclear, BME, SIX, with the main depositary entities.
Also participated Salvador Mas, founder of GPT Advisor, who talked about generative Artificial Intelligence and investment services. And Gloria Hernández, secretary of ADEPO and partner of finReg360, who was in charge of closing the day.
